cannot connect myob 2017

I note this was an issue marked as 'resolved' on 11/06.  Yet here we are not one week later with the same error!.  I don't think this is really good enough.  You charge a high subscription yet it is costing me money in lost time - again.

Hi all,

 

We are investigating why some clients are currently unable to log into AccountRight Live.

 

Error: ‘Connection error’ message, when trying to log into AccountRight live files.

 

Impact: AU & NZ clients may have trouble logging in

 

Workaround: We do not have a workaround at this stage. You can work on an offline copy of your file by following the steps in our Help article: What to do when your online file isn't accessible for a while.

2017 upgrade

Hi, as you will see from my history we attempted to upgrade to 2017.1 a few times a few weeks ago.  We have a large online file.  Every time it failed or hung - even when we tried locally - we could upgrade the file but then moving the file from local to online caused all sorts of issues to the point that my staff weren't able to use the file for over 24 hours.  Have you fixed the upgrade issues related to large online files?  I don't want to risk attempting again until I can be assured we won't experience the same issues.  At the same time we need to upgrade soon given the upgrade includes new tax tables.

When trying to log in to Live 17 today after upgrading this morning. I can' get in!! any ideas Message  every time I try to log in "An Error has occured in the script on this page " the only way I cant get out is to use task manager. Hope yu can help

Hi,

 

We recently upgraded our local MYOB file from Account Right Plus V19 to Account Right 2017 Server Edition.

 

I have been able to migrate our forms no problems but when it comes to making slight changes, I cant seen to work my way around...

 

Can someone please tell me how I change the columns that are included - eg. we dont usually offer discounts and could better utilise that column but I cant see where or how to change it?

 

Also, it appears that the table includes "default" catagories, how do I change these?

 

Appreciate any help.

AccountRight Plus 2017.1 Build 2017.1.19.7037 keeps freezing when doing reports

Since installing the upgraded version, MYOB keeps freezing when doing reports, we have tried to reinstall and having the same problem?

 

We are running on a Cloud Server, running Windows Server2012R2.

AR2017 Upgrade is much slower than AR2016

I have just upgraded to AR 2017 and I could count 8-10 seconds everytime I have to open any window. Just to do a month's Afterpay entries took me practically the whole day.  

I doubt that it is my internet connection because when I had the older version of Accounting Manager, I did not have to wait at all.  

I do not work online because my business use is pretty straight forward.  

Acccount Right 2016 was always crashing and slow as well but this new version is driving me bananas.  It is worse!

When I bought this software, I made sure the new pc I bought new can run this software easily.  Besides Norton, I do not have anything else installed.  

If people working online are having problems as well, does MYOB have a solution to this problem?

Nothing is wrong with my new pc or internet connection.  Crashing and now the upgrade speed is WORSE!

I can leave the room, come back and it is still trying to open the next window.  So frustrating.  It took me the whole day just to do 30 days data entry of one type of transaction.  

Why the super slow speed?  I only my antivirus software installed besides AR.  

The Accounting Manager old version was very fast.

What is wrong with this software?

The trial version downloaded was 2015.4 from the student MYOB downloads.

 

Message on failed install is:

 

Setup Failed

One or more issues caused the setup to fail.  Please fix the issues and then retry setup.  For more information see the Log File.

 

0x800b0101 - A required certificate is not within its validity period when verifying aginst the current system clock or the timestamp in the signed file.

 

Running win 10, the time and date is set to auto for time, date and time zone - daylight savings is off cos we don't have it.  Log file attached.

 

Any ideas on how to solve this would be greatly appreciated.

Unable to export to excel

Hi there,

 

We are having trouble downloading to excel.  It is pc/laptop dependent not user or file dependent.  For example, I can download to excel on my laptop and on my home pc but not on my work pc.  My co-worker (using the same file) can download to excel on her work pc but not on the work laptop?

 

it also appears to be the same problem with emailing payslips.  On the pc's/laptops that we can download to excel on we can email payslips.  On the pc's/laptops that we can't download to excel we get errors trying to email payslips.

 

When attempting to download to excel - we don't get an error message we just get nothing happening.

ODBC AccountRight 19.13

Hi Folks

 

Yes I did have an RDA error with ODBC connectivity but initially suspected it was related to the fact that client was using Office 365, specifically Access 365 rather than a problem of the ODBC install.

 

Solved that with r/w to ini file - but 

 

I had reasons why I wanted Access 20016 32 bit installed vs 365 - but am wondering does MYOB ODBC connection work with Access 365 or do you need Access 2016, 2103, 2010.

The computer that currently has MYOB is on its last legs. We're able to find Accounting Plus CDs all the way up to v18 but the laptop we have it installed on has version 19.10 and can't find that CD. We weren't apart of my.myob but signed up with the serial number and no link to the download. Can you please send through a link?

For MYOB AccountRight subscribers, the 2017-2018 Compliance Update will be delivered straight to your software in the last week of June. Keep an eye out for a message which will appear in your MYOB AccountRight.

Classic AccountRight v19— How to access your Compliance Update

If you’re using AccountRight v19 or earlier, look out for a message in your software in the last week of June telling you how to get the Compliance Update.

 

Note that, if you employ working holiday makers or if section 57A of the Fringe Benefits Tax Assessment Act 1986 applies to your business, you need to install the compliance update before preparing your payment summaries.

 

You should aim to complete all of your end of payroll year tasks in your current software in order to be ready to install your new tax tables and do your first pay in the new year.

  1. Do your final pay for the year
  2. Check your payroll reports
  3. Prepare your payment summaries

Subscription has expired but payment has been made

Good Morning

 

Upon trying to open my online file this morning, I have received a message saying that the subscription has expired.

 

I made payment for the subscription two weeks ago and when logged onto my.myob it says that payment has been received.

 

Can you please fix this for me so I can gain access to my file. I need this done as a matter of urgency please.

Trouble upgrading company file

I have just performed a succesfull update from AccountRight 2016.3 SE to AccountRight 2017.1 SE, however, I am unable to upgrade one of the company files.

 

Unfortunately, the error provided was not exactly helpful as it just said "There was a problem upgrading your company file, but we're not sure what the problem is". Has anyone encountered this before and/or are there any suggestions about what might be wrong.

 

I have had to install the previous version so 2016.3 and 2017.1 can work side by side to ensure the company can still use the files.
