Can anyone comment on whether the latest 2017.X is faster than 2016.3?
2016.3 is running so slow. We have a 120mb company file - so not big - i'm running the server version and the local (ie server) based install is very slow too. Specs of server are:-
8 Core Xeon 3.6ghz
32gb Ram
2x 256gb SSD's in Raid 0 - Myob installed here
12x 2tb Hitachi's in Raid 5 (benchmarked at over 1.2gb/s) - Myob Library on this array
So its a fast machine - but MYOB is so slow
On the networked workstation - also very slow (slower than the main machine) with lots of times where we are just sitting there watching the blue circle rotate.
I have followed the guides with regard to antivirus etc (I use avast) but no real difference is made. I also note that MYOB seems to use very little in the way of CPU, not sure why this would be the case, but maybe if it chewed a bit more on the CPU cores it may be quicker!
We keep on being bombarded via ad's and emails about working faster and smarter with MYOB - seriously nobody in the company can be using it in anger, as we are losing time, productivity and patience. Every day it seems like the faster and smarter way is to use something else!
