2018 regrets

We recently updated to 2018 from v19. It has been a nightmare for our business, and cost us plenty. Is it possible to go back to v19?

 

The slowness, and extra hoops, is terribly inefficient, and we need two people to do the work of one before updating.

 

Part of the problem is Timing Out. We get this constantly, even while we are generating reports.  Customers on the phone simply hang up while waiting for answers from us. Is there a solution to this particular painful problem.


Need to upgrade my online company file to 2018, but unsure how.

I have checked its location and it says it stored online, so unsure how to upload it to continue the ungrade.

In-tray Window Size

I have used the "save window size/location" option in preferences and AccountRight now opens nicely on one side of my two monitors.

 

Is there a way to do a similar thing with the windows within AccountRight itself? I keep losing the In-Tray behind the command centre. If I could change the default size for the in tray to slightly larger than the command centre it wouldn't be an issue.

 

Ctrl + F6 is fine when I remember it but if my hand is already on the mouse, it would be easier to click on it to bring it back to the front. The Enter Sales and Enter Purchases default sizes are much larger than the In Tray.

Upgrade company file

I am the owner and administrator of our software and have successfully upgraded our main company file, but when I try and upgrade a second company file, I am being asked for the administrator password.  I currently log in with my email address and there are no issues with inviting users etc.  Please advise.  Regards Chris

Hi, i have recently downloaded the new myob version for STP purposes. I am starting from the beginning and creating new card files for our employees. How do i go about purchasing additional company files please. I need another 4 please.

AccountRight 2018.2 not work with OneDrive

Hi

I have found that my .myox file in Library folder “My AccountRight File” does not sync properly with OneDrive. OneDrive sync process just keeps uploading the file because it’s last modified data is updated every time it it uploaded. It may be AccountRight process is doing this erroneously.

This should not happen.

Where do I find the Clearwater Sample files?

Hi

Our server administrators recently performed the MSI installation of the AccountRight 2018.2.  I have opened the product to view and test the sample company file Clearwater.myox, but it doesn't appear to have installed.  Are you able to guide me as to where I can find this file?  I have searched the entire network drive and nothing appears.  I wanted to have a look at how this file operates before I upgrade from 19.14.

 

Is it online and not downloaded to our server?

Can't uninstall API 2.20.2822

hi,

 

Trying to remove AR2017.2 in order to install 2018.2 on a server 2012 R2 machine.

 

AR2017.2 uninstalled ok, API on the other hand wont go.

 

Log below. Is there a brute force method for removing this? Tried everything already found on forums..

Hello is there a large print MYOB or a way of making the screen larger therefore enlarging the print?

 

Accountright Live not connecting

I am getting the below error when trying to connect to the accountright server when we 'Go online (upload this file)

Internet connection is fine, anti virus & firewall have been disconnected to test, same issue.

Back Up Error

I am trying to back up a myob file that I have open.  I am the only person using this file and no one else has this file open (we don't even have a multi user option).

 

Error message: In order to do this, you must be the only person using this company file.

One other person currently has this file open.

Please try again later, when no one else is using this file.

Proxy File location for Account Right Enterprise v19

We use MYOB AccountRight Enterprise v19.5  and need to make a change to the proxy config file as we are in the process of transitioning from Blue Coat to ForcePoint and we are unable to find the location of the proxy file

 

We found the following the link in the knowledge base 

http://help.myob.com/wiki/x/TQGF

 

but could not find the file in the location specified

C:\Program Files (x86)\MYOB\AccountRight\20XX.X\SE

MYOB client support provided us with the same information and asked that we use this forum to see if you can help us

Unable to Perform Online Confirmation

I am using a 2004 version of MYOB Accounting Plus v14.  I know this is an older product but I like using it because I'm very familiar with it.

 

I can't seem to confirm online anymore.  When I called to confirm on the phone the guy said that it doesn't work on windows 10 and that I would have to buy a new version of MYOB.  I find this strange as I have confirmed on windows 10 before without any problems.

 

I don't understand how it cannot confirm anymore.

could you please enlighten me with the link to download the AccountRight Live MSI file plz

 

we have just changed from using MYOBPremier to AccountRight Live. We will be using this on a W10 PRO PC, which will be accessed remotely by various different users at different times. I believe I will need the MSI installer to facilitate this architecture, so we can contain the entire MYOB-AR system on one PC.

Hi Can some please help I keep getting this error after upgraded from V19 to 2018.2 Sorry somthing has gone wrong and Accounts Right needs to close. I can access every other section in MYOB even pay bills but just not the purchase register. This the erroe report
