I have a major problem with my Premier 19 and only have 10 days to fix it! I have been on the phone to customer support for about an hour and cannot get any help from them.
Somehow (maybe from an old accountant) our MYOB file has an incorrect serial number. And in our version of Premier 19, it does not have the facility to change the serial number.
We are only a small business and haven't employed staff for quite a few years, so we haven't bothered with updating our MYOB. The version we have has been working for years so we have no reason to spend the money to upgrade.
For some reason, this incorrect serial number has been working on our file until last weekend, when it started asking for confirmation numbers.
We first purchased MYOB in 1999 and paid subscription fees every year until a few years ago, but now customer service tell me that the only way to fix the problem with my serial number is to upgrade and purchase a new subscription, which, quite frankly, we cannot afford.
I have the correct serial number, and customer service can see that we own that serial number, but still they say there is nothing they can do for us.
So to recap:
We have a working MYOB Premier 19 file with an incorrect serial number.
We have the correct serial number, but cannot change the serial number on the file.
Can anyone out there in the MYOB community suggest any other way around my problem??? I have 10 days left and counting! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
