Upgrading 2016.2 to 2017.2

Hi, I only use my myob every couple of months on an old laptop. The laptop didn't want to work on the weekend, so installed new software on my newer computer.

I then upgraded one company file from 2017.1 to 2017.2, but the file for a different company is 2016.2 and says it needs upgrading to open, but refuses to upgrade.

It comes up with window saying "Problem in updating, please contact Tech Support"

Any ideas on what the problem is, or do I have to ring support?
